ISL has developped an extensive programme of home language teaching, with 24 languages currently being taught as an integral part of the curriculum. As a result, they have an extremely diverse community, with around 40 different nationalities in their staff body and 54 amongst the students. They even run free English classes for parents who are new to the UK.
They teach the IB curriculum from age three right through to 18, and they have recently introduced some changes to the Grade 6 curriculum that focuses students on learning concepts and soft skills, as well as essential content. The course is centred around product-based learning that is interdisciplinary, helping students to understand how real-world problems need to be solved using a whole array of subject knowledge and skills.
